NOMINATE AN ATHLETE

 
The MHSAHF Committee is accepting nominations for the ninth induction ceremony at this time. The deadline is April 30, 2022. The purpose of this nomination is to honor and perpetuate the memory of athletes, teams, coaches, and/or administrators who have graduated from Maynard High School. Induction standards emphasize athletic achievement at the high school level, personal character, leadership, and community involvement. College, professional, Olympic and other accomplishments are taken into consideration as well. In all cases, the inductees must have demonstrated ability, integrity, sportsmanship, and be a credit to the community. There is also a Black and Orange Award given as described below.
 
There shall be five categories of awards:
 
  • Athlete(s). To be inducted as an Athlete, the inductee must be a graduate of Maynard High School. The inductee will not be eligible until the year that is ten years after the year of his or her graduation.
 
  • Team. To be inducted collectively as a Team, the Team members must be graduates of Maynard High School. The Team will not be eligible until the year that is ten years after the year of the Team’s graduation.
 
  • Coach. To be inducted as a Coach, the inductee must have worked in the Town of Maynard School System.
 
  • Administrator(s). To be inducted as an Administrator, the inductee must have worked in the Town of Maynard School System.
 
  • The Black and Orange Award. To be inducted as a recipient of the Black and Orange Award, the inductee is not required to be a graduate or an employee of the Town of Maynard School System, but certainly may be. The nominee must have made a significant contribution to athletics in general or be an example of great character and success thus bestowing notoriety to Maynard High School and the town of Maynard.
